Stan keady

After World War II, having served as an aircraft mechanic in the 78 squadron RAAF with the Australian forces, Stan returned home to the eastern suburbs of Sydney. Whilst adjusting to normal life, Stan rediscovered his love of opal gemstones by practicing in cutting and polishing opal. As his interest grew, Stan became a member of the GAA in New South Wales and began his study in a Diploma of Gemmology. Receiving his fellowship certificate in 1949.
